I’m a North Florida-based Wedding and Couples photographer. Since 2020, I’ve been all about capturing that 'carefree kinda love.' It’s important to me that your vibe, the essence of who you are, is captured on camera. I want you to look back on these photos with your honey and think “yes, this is SO us!”
I work with so many clients who at first feel like scheduling their engagement photos is a little daunting, but they always end up having SO much fun! Don’t you want that to be you too? Walking away from your photos feeling more in love with your partner and like you got to be carefree kids, focused on just each other for 2 hours, is the best feeling ever, and I want that for you! There’s really no one size fits all so here are some unique ideas and tips I want you to consider for your engagement photos to help make your session feel more like you!
Go on an adventure. If you and your partner love to travel or explore new places, consider doing your engagement photos in a location that’s meaningful to you. This could be a park, beach, mountain range, or even an urban setting.
2. Get creative with props. Props can add a fun or elevated element to your engagement photos. Consider incorporating items that are meaningful to you, such as musical instruments, your favorite food spot or even your pets. One of my couples brought their picnic basket to their session which totally elevated their wildflower engagement session.
3. Choose a unique setting. Engagement photos don’t have to be traditional or posed. Consider choosing a unique setting, like a rooftop garage or a graffiti-covered wall, for a more edgy and artistic look. I personally love photoshoots on a rooftop garage because the vibe works so well whether you’re dressed up or down, and you can catch a gorgeous sunset and the skyline behind you.
4. Incorporate your hobbies. Do you and your partner have a shared hobby or activity that you enjoy doing together? Consider incorporating it into your engagement photos for a personal and meaningful touch.
5. Go for a romantic, vintage look. If you’re a fan of all things vintage, consider incorporating vintage-inspired elements into your engagement photos. This could include vintage clothing, antique cars, or even an old-fashioned photo booth.
By getting creative with your engagement photos, you’ll have beautiful, one-of-a-kind images to cherish for years to come.
