Maternity Session at the Florida Springs
When Alex and Erick reached out about their maternity session, I was instantly excited! Alex wanted to incorporate the special moments she and Erick share – hiking and walking along the creeks in Gainesville together, and to celebrate their first baby together with an outdoorsy, but romantic vibe. The second she said she was open to getting in the water, I knew I had to immediately start searching for the perfect location. Florida is filled with natural beauty on the water, but I had never shot a couple in the water before. I hopped in the car with one of my close friends and a fellow photographer, and we started searching different lakes and Springs in North Florida. That day we found the most perfect little spring on the outskirts of Gainesville.
Their session was everything I dreamed of and more. We had the spring all to ourselves, the sunrise was so beautiful, we listened to good music and I got to capture the sweetest couple. I never take it for granted that I get to freeze so many beautiful moments in time for my couples, especially when it comes to maternity. Joy. Anticipation. Nervousness. Cuddles. Laughs. It’s a beautiful time.
This session at the Springs truly felt we captured the essence of how pregnancy, bringing life into the world and mother nature are all beautifully intertwined/interwoven.
