Maria and Joey were so much fun at their engagement session! We drove about 90 minutes from Gainesville to St. Augustine and the locations were SO worth it. Washington Oaks Garden State Park has been on my bucket list for the longest time. The grounds are absolutely stunning and this giant tree with moss on the limbs (pictured below) is just as gorgeous and breathtaking in person as the photos I’ve seen of it. Maria and Joey’s engagement was incredible. Their love was tangible and as you can see from their photos, a great mix of romance, fun and just being themselves with each other. After Washington Oaks, we went over to Crescent Beach where they switched outfits. You can never go wrong with white and khaki at the beach. It’s such a classic and timeless look, which I think allows your love and personalities to really shine through without distractions. When I’m at the beach, I always want to keep my couples moving and having fun so they feel like they’re on a date with each other and not just posing for a photo. Some of my favorite things lately have been having my couples splash water as they walk along the shoreline and telling my couples they can always go “off script” and surprise each other with a kiss attack, picking each other up or impromptu piggy-back rides. I’ve found it helps break couples out of their shell and allows for some truly candid photos that showcase what their loves feels like.
