I’m a North Florida-based Wedding and Couples photographer. Since 2020, I’ve been all about capturing that 'carefree kinda love.' It’s important to me that your vibe, the essence of who you are, is captured on camera. I want you to look back on these photos with your honey and think “yes, this is SO us!”
I have had the pleasure of photographing the Vanegas family since their son was 11 months old. Now we are celebrating his 3rd birthday! This year’s session was at Sweetwater Wetlands, which has become one of my favorite locations for everything from family photos to engagement sessions. Sweetwater is known for having the dreamiest sunrise and sunsets. The land is so flat and clear, it allows us to keep shooting all the way until the sun hits the horizon line and gives such a beautiful warmth to your photos. The aesthetic of the park, with its neutral and simple boardwalks make for a really clean and simple background for any type of photo session. It’s always a hit with the kids to look over the boardwalk into the water and find fish, turtles and gators.
One of my favorite things about family photos is capturing the real and candid moments between the family. While I always shoot at least one posed photo for my families, I love giving prompts that incorporate movement and connection so I can capture parents and siblings interact with each other. There’s nothing like watching mom give her babies a bunch kisses or catching the kids squeal when dad throws them up in the air. With every family, I want to capture them as they are, in that specific moment in time. If your toddler wants to run around and pick up sticks the whole time, let’s play into that. If the baby wants to snuggle, let’s make the best of it!
If you’d like to book your next family session at Sweetwater with me, you can book here! I can’t wait to meet you!
