Sunny St. Pete wedding at the St. Petersburg Woman’s Club
Dani and Carl got married on the most gorgeous, sunny Florida day in St. Pete at the St Petersburg Woman’s Club. Everything screamed “Florida wedding” – from peachy tone building, palm trees, to the dreamy ceremony site. I absolutely loved it.
Not to mention, Dani and Carl’s decor and florals were so “Florida” and incredibly unique. Dani’s florist, Poise Flowers, used palm leaves, hydrangeas, roses, snap florals and panda anemones. I have never seen a palm bouquet and they were just the most beautiful and unique bouquets to me.
To start the day, Makeup was done by Cat Baxter Beauty and hair by Olivia Poppy Salon. When Dani was done she looked like she was straight out of a 1950s movie. The combination of the classic makeup and deep waves in her hair had my jaw on the floor.
The groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids all wore black, which is something I rarely see. I loved this idea because the bride really stood out and the gorgeous bouquets popped on the black bridesmaid dresses. Everyone looked so classic and timeless.
During the ceremony, there was a giant pelican swooping down to catch fish behind and Dani and Carl. If you know them, this was perfection because they absolutely love all things water and go fishing together often. We actually did their engagement session at North Park at Fort DeSoto beach here in St. Pete, where they fished together for a portion of our session.
After the ceremony, we ran over to the bridge for some couples portraits and then it was time to let the party commence!
The DJ had the hits going for all the 80s and 90s babies and as you can see from the slideshow below, the party was non-stop! This wedding was also so dear to me because two past brides whose wedding I shot this year were at the wedding as well. It felt like a little family reunion and it’s always so fun to connect with past clients. If having 3 brides all at one wedding isn’t the power of word of mouth, then I don’t know what is!
Overall, Dani and Carl’s day was absolute perfection. I had the biggest smile on my face as I was leaving their wedding and all throughout editing their photos. Every vendor showed up and put their heart into making their day special.
